Simplifying Kubernetes: TrueFullstaq and Sidero Labs break through complexity
TrueFullstaq has partnered with Sidero Labs to serve the European market better and simplify Kubernetes management. How does this partnership fit into TrueFullstaq's strategy, and what does it mean in practice? CCO Chris Baars and Chief Evangelist Gerrit Tamboer share the background and impact of this collaboration.
Strategic move
Entering into a partnership requires dedication and trust - it's not something you do on a whim. It also needs to align with a long-term strategy, which this does. “Given our specialization in edge computing and Kubernetes, this partnership is crucial for our growth ambitions,” Gerrit explains.
“We saw a clear opportunity,” Chris adds. “Sidero Labs is in high demand but has had no European presence until now. Since we were already big fans of their products, a partnership was a natural next step. This way, we can better serve our customers and help Sidero Labs build a strong position in the European market.”

European growth ambition
Gerrit explains the mutual benefits: “For Sidero Labs, our involvement means a higher chance of customer success.” He continues, “It's also strategically exciting for TrueFullstaq. When companies choose Talos Linux or Omni, they're often just starting their Kubernetes journey. That's the perfect time for us to jump in and guide them through their growth.” After all, TrueFullstaq doesn't just provide support for Talos Linux and Omni and helps implement the complete cloud-native ecosystem around them.
Stronger together
Sounds promising, but how do you know if such a partnership is the right choice? “It was actually clear right away,” Chris shares. “Our engineers were excited about Talos Linux and Omni, and there was an instant natural connection between Sidero Labs and TrueFullstaq.” Gerrit agrees: “We share the same DNA - a passion for open-source technology and a joint mission to simplify Kubernetes management. That's where we really click.”
Partnership in practice
The first steps are promising. The formal partnership was recently signed, and several major customers are ready to start working with the combination of TrueFullstaq and Sidero Labs. Soon, TrueFullstaq will also begin offering free in-office and virtual workshops where interested parties can get acquainted with Talos Linux and Omni.

The timing for this partnership is perfect. “The demand for Kubernetes outside of public clouds is increasing, and the Talos Linux/Omni solution is a perfect fit,” says Gerrit. “We expect Sidero Labs to experience substantial growth, and we're excited to grow alongside them—not just in serving customers but also in joint marketing activities and events.”

Innovation through simplicity
Sidero Labs' first product, Talos Linux, offers a revolutionary approach to Kubernetes in bare-metal or private cloud environments. Integrating the operating system with Kubernetes makes it so user-friendly that it's already become the most-used operating system in many users' home labs.
This success led to the development of Omni, which gives users access to all their Kubernetes clusters through one central interface. “The power lies in its simplicity,” Gerrit emphasizes. “Over the years, Kubernetes has become increasingly complex. Talos Linux and Omni bring simplicity back.”
Omni is unique because Talos Linux machines register themselves automatically, making it particularly suitable for edge computing solutions. Gerrit believes it is a market with growth potential. “For DevOps teams, this means a huge simplification of their daily work. Deploying new physical machines for Kubernetes is now a piece of cake: you simply boot up a server with an ISO file and add the machine to a cluster through the Omni interface. It doesn't get simpler than that.”
