CCV Shop and TrueFullstaq: 10+ years of partnership in webshops
From professional hosting to shared entrepreneurship
For more than 10 years, CCV Shop's application, including the over 20,000 web stores running on it, has been hosted on TrueFullstaq's hosting environment. The application offers a complete package for online stores, including hosting. Randy Marcus, director and owner of CCV Shop, founded the company in 1999 as BiedMeer - one of the first online applications to offer such a web store package.

Informal, natural collaboration
The collaboration between TrueFullstaq and CCV Shop is both professional and informal. Randy describes it as follows: "We know what to expect from each other and move forward together as two companies. We appreciate their open attitude, clearly indicating what's possible and what's more challenging. The engineers at TrueFullstaq serve as valuable sounding boards for us, and we've grown together."
Tom van Hamersveld, Linux engineer at TrueFullstaq: "CCV Shop is a mature company. They know what they want from the infrastructure and what's needed for their application. They seek our expertise, and everything happens through consultation. When problems arise, we brainstorm together and jointly decide who should handle them. That's truly change as a team."
Although BiedMeer was acquired by CCV in 2014, CCV Shop continues to make its own strategic choices, including their hosting selection. For their web store application, they deliberately chose the private cloud at TrueFullstaq.
Adriaan Meijer, senior software architect at CCV Shop: "Being part of CCV presents a challenge for hosting. CCV has a significant reputation, and since it involves payments, a data breach could potentially cause major reputational damage. We work together with TrueFullstaq to address this challenge."
Trust extends to customers
Merchants (web store owners) praise CCV Shop's freedom of choice in connecting with payment options and accounting packages. "For our business strategy, we've always chosen to connect with almost all parties. The merchant can choose exactly what fits their organization," says Randy.
"Our continuous development is an important reason for customers to stay with CCV Shop. We're still a development company at our core," says Adriaan. "The praise our service receives is also related to TrueFullstaq. When a service unexpectedly goes down, we confidently tell our customers that TrueFullstaq's engineers are working on it. That trust extends to our customers."
Quickly responding to market trends
"Let's Encrypt became prominent in the market a few years ago. When I heard a competitor was planning to integrate it, I told TrueFullstaq I wanted it as soon as possible," says Adriaan. "Together, we managed to implement it within a week. TrueFullstaq ensured that certificates could be requested automatically. We had flawlessly built this feature before our competitor did!"
Infrastructure upgrade
CCV Shop works closely with TrueFullstaq to optimize services. Tom: "CCV Shop's application was running on an earlier version of Ubuntu. We upgraded the servers with Adriaan using automated scripts in Ansible."
"We prepared six non-identical servers for production in just 1.5 hours through automation," explains Adriaan. "We double-checked everything, and it all worked perfectly. Then the servers were added to the load balancers, and the upgrade was complete."
After more than 10 years of collaboration, TrueFullstaq is no longer an external party, but an extension of CCV Shop. This close relationship ensures technical stability and gives thousands of web stores the freedom to do business without worry.
