Prepr relies on Fully Managed Kubernetes and redundant data center
When availability is not an option but a requirement
For a headless CMS, call Prepr. This new-generation CMS is based on an API, allowing you to easily publish content across various platforms simultaneously. Additionally, with Prepr, you immediately get a built-in personalization engine. This is ideal for reaching visitors with the right content through a user-friendly SaaS solution. For this solution, they chose TrueFullstaq as their partner.

Partnership with emphasis on in-depth and close involvement
Prepr was developed as a CMS for media organizations. Clients such as NPO, BNNVARA, and Talpa eagerly use the system. By now, the CMS has over eight thousand customers worldwide. Tim Hanssen, CTO and founder of Prepr: "The websites and apps of our customers reach tens of millions of visitors daily. We never want to disappoint them. The availability of their content is mission-critical. We've entrusted that responsibility to TrueFullstaq for years."
"We want to develop, so we prefer to outsource management and hosting," says Tim. The collaboration dates back to 2013, but Prepr has existed in its current form since 2019. "We saw that the market for CMSs would change: the impact of content becomes more important, and also how you connect it with visitors. That's when we developed Prepr with personalization as its foundation. The infrastructure was also redesigned, and we chose TrueFullstaq again because we can move quickly with them. In every conversation, we go in-depth, there's a lot of expertise, and they think along with us well. We have a quarterly evaluation and discuss practical progress every two weeks. Such frequent, substantive involvement is unique for a hosting provider."
Fully Managed Kubernetes: continuously updated version
TrueFullstaq recommended Kubernetes, an expertise in itself. "Kubernetes was completely new to us. TrueFullstaq shared their knowledge with us in two days and answered all our questions. We went for it," says Tim. Since then, TrueFullstaq has provided an up-to-date and wholly configured version of Kubernetes, which is ready for the developers. "They also advised how to deploy a new version, or separate applications in containers. That gives us much insight via metrics, and the risk of domino effects between applications is much lower. If we create a bug in the code, it only has consequences for this one container. Not for the entire server, as it used to be. That works much better."
Redundant: customers' websites continue running even during a meteor strike and fire
TrueFullstaq has split their work into two parts. One part of the team manages Kubernetes, which runs on Prepr's equipment. The Kubernetes engineers know the environment to the smallest detail, and Prepr can call them directly. Tim: "At TrueFullstaq, they immediately know all the ins and outs of our unique situation, the conversation can go in-depth immediately."
Another part manages the data centers. On TrueFullstaq's advice, all data is distributed across three physical locations, technically functioning as one large data center. "If a meteor crashes into one location and simultaneously a second one goes up in flames, customers still won't notice anything. The data remains available via that third location," says Tim.
"Redundancy is our focus, to eliminate risks. However, it remains technology where calamities can occur. TrueFullstaq is aware of our responsibilities and takes their own responsibility. We haven't been working together for over ten years for nothing. Time and again, they earn our trust."
